Hailing from Southeast Asia and the Northern Mariana Islands, Lori witnessed and experienced injustices in her communities first-hand. With these injustices in mind, Lori worked as a Community Outreach and Impact Assessment Intern for the Davis Feminist Film Festival and as a volunteer for the Women’s Resource and Research Center, two organizations dedicated to educating communities and building resources. It was through these organizations that she realized she wanted to pursue a career in activism and social justice where she would be able to help bridge gaps in gender, race, sexuality, ability, and class.
Currently, Lori attends the University of California, Davis where she studies communication, cinema and digital media, and political science. She’s a member of the Office of Advocacy and Student Representation and is part of a lobbying corps that represents the University of California student body at the California State Capitol.
