Over the summer, Women Thrive Alliance members launched a global campaign for gender equality, #AchieveSDG5.
From November 2016 to March 2017 we disseminated our National SDG Advocacy Scorecard to gauge the extent to which grassroots women’s rights and gender equality organizations (typically excluded from national data collection activities and decision-making) have been involved in national-level Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) implementation discussions and processes.

Last month, 50 Alliance members from 24 countries participated in an all-new Women Thrive Alliance course on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals called Speak the SDGs.
Alliance member Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) in Pakistan knows firsthand what can be accomplished when girls’ education is prioritized. ITA’s educational programs break down barriers and help girls access quality learning opportunities, so that they can rise and thrive.
