It’s April and in the United States, this means it is Sexual Assault Awareness Month – #SAAM.
Women Thrive, as well as our 250 plus Alliance members, believe that sexual assault does not deserve to be observed for a month or a day, but every day, all year long. Here are a few of the reasons why:
The April #FeministFridays discussion was a great success! We were joined by Alliance members and friends from Burundi, DRC, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Syria, and the United States to discuss feminist engagement with conservative governments.
Yesterday, the United States’ State Department announced it was ending U.S. funding for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), marking yet another attack on women’s rights and gender equality by President Trump and his administration.
