Still Left Behind: Grassroots Women’s Rights Organizations’ Inclusion in SDG5’s National Implementation Processes

June 7 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Women Thrive Alliance recently completed its 2017 National SDG Scorecard (NSC), which measures grassroots women’s rights and gender equality organizations’ knowledge of as well as participation in national-level SDG implementation.

The data speaks for itself: despite being touted as an inclusive process, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the national level is still excluding many grassroots women’s rights and gender equality organizations.

This event, co-hosted by InterAction, will address global and national trends, as well as explore concrete examples of how grassroots organizations can take part in national-level SDG-era policy-making.

Discussants :

  • Emily Bove, Executive Director of Women Thrive Alliance
  • Lindsay Coates, Executive Director of InterAction
  • Mónica de Pinto Ribeiro Hancke, Advocacy Manager of Women Thrive Alliance

Moderated by:

  • Susan Markham, Partner, Smash Strategies

Light refreshments will be served.
