Women Thrive to Conduct Survey of Women's Groups Worldwide |
The Hewlett Foundation has awarded Women Thrive Worldwide (formerly Women’s Edge Coalition) a $500,000 grant to conduct an extensive survey of women’s organizations around the world to gain in-depth knowledge of women’s priorities, challenges, ideas, solutions, and perspectives with respect to trade and development issues. The survey will cover all major regions of the developing world.
After careful analysis of the survey results, Women Thrive will identify which issues are universal for women and which are specific to certain countries. Additionally, the survey will give us a clearer idea of how women view their countries’ economic development and trade capacity building needs. Results of the survey will be released to public in the summer of 2008. |
