- If you join our email list, we will keep a record of your email address and all other information you choose to provide. Depending on your subscription status, we may contact you about a broad range of Women Thrive Worldwide's activities.
- If you make a secure online donation to Women Thrive Worldwide, your information will be added to our donor list and database, and you will be contacted about other Women Thrive activities, news and/or fundraising campaigns, unless you choose to opt-out of receiving updates.
- If you decide to opt-in to our activist network, you will receive informational updates and action alerts on international women’s issues. You will also be added to Women Thrive Worldwides donor list and database and will receive fundraising campaign communications from Women Thrive. Our activists network is an electronic network, and therefore we need an email address to contact you. We also need your full postal address in order for our systems to match you to the correct state and federal districts, thereby ensuring that you are primarily sending messages to your designated elected officials.
- We will receive any other information you choose to provide, such as optional information or ‘personal stories’ you submit. By submitting a story to us, you give us permission to edit it, post it on the website, and use it in appropriate settings designed to illustrate the importance of investing in poor women worldwide. If you wish to protect your privacy, please do not include any identifying information in your personal story.
You should be aware that we use third-party vendors to provide services to this site and in our offline business operations. The information you submit on this site may be provided to those vendors on a confidential basis so that those vendors can provide services (such as maintaining our database, sending email messages to activists, facilitating our fundraising activities and campaigns, or processing credit card transactions) on our behalf.
Donor Financial Security
If you make a donation, we will request certain personally identifiable information about you (such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information). This information enables us to process your donation, communicate with you about it, and to check in with you no more than a few times a year about whether you are interested in donating again.
If you choose to make an online donation to Women Thrive Worldwide, you will have to provide your credit card billing information. As this information is collected and transferred over the internet to our secure server, it is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, the industry standard security technology that is designed to protect sensitive information. Our donation pages display the VeriSign Secure Site Seal to assure you that our website is authentic and that all transactions are secured by SSL encryption. If you are making a donation, the credit card information that you provide at the time of donation is used only to process your donation and will not be used for any other purposes.
If you choose to mail in your donation, we will record your gift amount, gift date, reference number (if applicable) and any personal information that you provide to us. Mailed in credit card donations will be processed into our system and then shredded in order to protect donor’s financial information.
If you do not want to receive any email from us in the future, you can follow the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email communication, or visit your personal subscription management page to deactivate your account. Note that your donor and/or activist records will remain in the Women Thrive's databases, but your login and email address will be deactivated.
If you wish to review the contact information we have on file for you, correct your contact information or provide a change of address, or inform us how you wish to be contacted, you may contact Women Thrive Worldwide by mail, or email regarding your contact information.
