Gender Roundtable: Access Denied – Bridging the Gender Technology Gap

On February 8, 2012 Women Thrive Worldwide hosted a Gender Roundtable focused on technology and gender, and the disparities between how women and men use, engage with, and find careers in technology throughout the world.

Ritu Sharma, Co-founder and President of Women Thrive Worldwide, moderated a panel that included five expert speakers.

  • Dr. Maura O’Neill, Senior Counselor to the Administrator and Chief Innovation Officer of USAID.
  • Sheila Casey, Tech Women Initiative, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Department State.
  • Willow Darsie, Independent Consultant and Former Senior Fellow for Partnership and Innovation International Center for Research on Women.
  • Nancy Taggart, Senior Technical Advisor, Education Development Center.
  • Ari Katz, Deputy Director for Technology and Civil Society, IREX.
