Waging Peace Summit

Women Thrive’s Executive Director Emily Bove will be a panelist at Georgetown University’s first annual Waging Peace Summit: “Meeting the Other: Nurturing a Culture of Nonviolence & Combating Discrimination, Hatred, and Xenophobia.”

The one-day summit will take place from 2 pm and runs until 9:30 pm in the evening in Car Barn. Come for some or all of the event to hear from numerous deeply involved activists and professionals working toward a more peaceful society. Lots of opportunities to learn from and network with other students, professionals from the World Bank, USAID, the State Department, Local and international activists. Attendance is FREE of charge.

2:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Breakout Sessions ( Panels & Workshops)
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm: Keynote Address followed by panel + Q&A
8:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Reception and networking with activists and professionals attending the conference
